Everyday is different when working as a Handyman! On this particular job Matt required the use of an Excavator and a dump truck. Before Matt began his Handyman business, he had been operating 20 ton Excavators in Cairns for a large earth moving company for 5 years. So to jump in this little excavator was like playing with a little Tonka truck!
This client in Eatons Hill was surprising his wife. When she had to go overseas for business for a few days he called in Matt for help. The wife had always hated the rock garden at the front of the property and was one day hoping to lay grass in that area. Matt had three days to help his client bring his surprise alive.
First up was the removal of the rocks and plants with the excavator, and many trip to the dump with the dump truck. Once the area was cleared several loads of soil was delivered and distributed into the garden bed. The excavator work saved hours and hours of work if a wheel borrow and trailer was to be used. Matt’s years of experience on the excavator allowed him to get a very smooth finish on the soil ready for the laying of instant turf.
The job was completed in time for when the clients wife return, and she was absolutely delighted as where their children who were looking forward to playing on the new grass.
